Death as a part of life

“In this world, nothing can be said to be constant except Death & Taxes,” Benjamin Franklin, 1789. According to the American Psychological Association one of the most common phobias is Thanatophobia, the fear of death. In my line of work, I have been greeted with all kinds of reactions from people finding out that I work in the death industry.

In fact death is so popular that almost every form of literature has some element of death. There was a joke going around during the start of the great Korean Drama Fever where every great series ends in a death. Just as every great show will have a curtain call, every star a final sparkle and every firework one last kaboom; Life ends too.

I like how Darren describes life in this interview as he gives his opinion on how life and death is an integral part of life in this video.
